The VFJGA Board of Directors is looking for volunteers to represent the interests of its members. We need parents, grandparents, retirees, any and all interested with diverse backgrounds, experience and expertise in advancing the development of junior golf in our area. As many past members know, the same special people have been keeping the organization going for the past few years and we need more involvement.

VFJGA is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization that has been in existence over 40 years. We are a developmental junior golf program designed for girls and boys ages 6-18 with emphasis on developing the playing capabilities and competitive tournament interest of juniors who have had limited golf experience. Events are not designed to teach the basic fundamentals of the game. Members are expected to be "course ready" and many juniors with the eventual goal of preparing them for more competitive golf tournaments.

Board meetings are held once a month January-August. Terms are for one year. We are in the midst of planning out 2010 season which includes our weekly tournaments, a kick off event and end of year banquet. We have individuals to run weekly tournaments but need additional help when available-but not every week.
